Hands on: It's too early to say whether the Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra is worth it. I'll have to test it first. I'm particularly interested in the Galaxy Watch Ultra's battery life. On Power Saving Mode, Samsung claims the Galaxy Watch Ultra can last four days. Compare this to the Apple Watch Ultra, which lasts three days on Low Power Mode.

Hands on: The Galaxy Watch Ultra seems just more premium enough than the Galaxy Watch 7 to justify the higher price. Between the athletic design and longer battery life, the Galaxy Watch Ultra may truly be the Apple Watch Ultra for Samsung users.

Hands on: At the end of my hands-on, neither the Galaxy Watch 7 nor the Ultra blew me away. In each case, I hadn’t really seen anything truly new. But, that’s also my reviewer privilege speaking. Of course I wish the Galaxy Watch Ultra felt a bit more unique — at least in terms of design — but it’s like I said: there wasn’t really an Apple Watch Ultra equivalent for Android. Now there is. So long as Samsung’s Ultra holds up in testing, that’s ultimately a good thing.

Hands on: Like the Apple Watch Ultra, the Galaxy Watch Ulta has a night mode for readability in the dark without blasting blue light in your face. Its peak brightness is 3,000 nits in direct sunlight. I wore the device while snapping photos, and it felt more comfortable than I imagined.
