With class-leading hardware and software, the Apple iPad line has long been the default tablet recommendation for most people. But with various model differences and sizes, which one is right for you?

Using your phone for a hotspot will not drain the battery of the iPad. Battery use on wifi, if anything, is less than using cellular.
Nuh-uh, magic internet box doesn't drain iPad batteryWhat will drain the battery of the iPad is, well, using the iPad.
With you there, except for the pocket/wallet thing. I can afford them, but don't want to. I will not support the Apple way of thinking and doing things. Tim Cook is a pretentious blighter who needs to be gone.No iPad is the right model for me, especially for my pocket.
"With class-leading hardware and optimized software" Well that's half right. Their software isn't very optimized for the hardware. It's a mobile OS with desktop/laptop hardware.
I dont think iPad is a laptop replacement..Nowhere close to a laptop. Love my iPad Pro and even with a detachable keyboard does not come close to a laptop.
It doesn't even need to come with a lite OS, it's got the same hardware as Mac books and is basically a MacBook pro with a touch screen. Apple needs to scrap the toilet OS...I mean tablet OS and just let it be a computer.iPad Pro is now past the point of being useful. Absurd pricing, and garbage class OS that cripple its true potential. Needs to be 35% cheaper, and include the pencil and come with MacOS Lite, have 2 usb-c data ports, support 100W charging and mouse.
Far better to get a Macbook Air or 2-in-1 windows laptop.
Can someone tell Apple that selling tablets with only 64 gb storage in 2024 is very very wrong. Even if everything you own is in Apple cloud, 65gb is barely enough for very light use.
Even upgrade to 265gb would cost Apple literally nothing. So, why do these 65gb devices keep existing?
Poor*Because stupid people
Well the true statement is "technically stupid" not stupid "per se" though I will grant you the two sometimes go together. Apple intentionally built and continues to build computers for the technically stupid - which they figured was an segment of the population not served by other PC software/hardware manufacturers. Even they didn't figure out how large a segment this would turn out to be (hence their large profit margin per unit - they didn't expect the revenue to cover their costs). They excel at the GUI and graphics in general - this is what they can be useful for - in the old vernacular they a RISC machine dedicated for graphical programs (pictures and videos - content provision). This is all that the technically stupid ever want from a "computer" - they don't want calculation machines (for financial spreadsheets, non-fiction documents, engineering calculations etc. etc.) so it is completely wrong to evaluate them that way.Because stupid people will buy 64GB model and then notice it's not enough. Since storage is not expandable, they buy another with more storage. Same applies on 8GB Macbook that "equals" 16GB.
Apple buyers are stupid and Apple knows that very well.
It does graphical content provision very well (social media, media content) - which is why I have one. For all my more complex and technically challenging tasks (CAD/3DCAD) I use machines (with their OS's of choice) that can do real math. But for just looking at pictures(1000 words) my ipadMini does the job better than anything else; bar none. Horses for courses - their is no universal computer.14 yrs later the ipad does nothing well.
