Something to look forward to: It's only a couple of weeks until Samsung shows off the new Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6 at its Unpacked event on July 10. As is so often the case, images of the devices have leaked online, giving us an idea of what we can expect.
The images, from prolific leaker Evan Blass and WinFuture, show that the Galaxy Z Fold 6 has a more squared look than its predecessor, including some sharper edges. The phone is also said to be slightly shorter and wider, which lines up with rumors we heard earlier this year, and there are black rings around the camera lenses.

It also appears that the hinge and bezels have been shrunk. The hinge can often prove to be an issue on Fold phones – it failed on my Galaxy Z Fold 4 despite very light usage, as shown in the video below.
The images also show two color options for the Fold 6: Gray and Navy Blue. WinFuture showed it in light Pink, too.
The changes in the Z Fold 6 are certainly minor, but it still appears to have undergone more visual updates than the Z Flip 6, which seems slightly more metallic looking. Like the Z Fold, the new Flip is slightly shorter and rounder.
The Z Flip 6 also has rings around the lenses, though these are color-matched to the device casing. The phone is shown in pale green, silver, light blue, and yellow. Both handsets will likely be available in other color options as special or limited editions.
Internally, both foldables are expected to pack Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, while the Z Flip 6 is rumored to get a 50MP camera and a 4,000mAh battery – the Z Flip 5 has a 12MP snapper and 3,700mAh battery.
We're pretty much used to iterative updates for phones these days, and Samsung's new foldables are no different. That would make the rumored price hikes – $100 extra in the US and more in Europe – for what are already expensive phones even harder to swallow.
In addition to the foldable phones, Samsung is expected to unveil the Galaxy Watch 7, Galaxy Watch Ultra, Galaxy Buds 3, Galaxy Buds 3 Pro, and Galaxy Ring at the Unpacked event.
